About the Utah Arts Festival
The mission of the Utah Arts Festival is to promote the arts and enhance the quality of life in Utah through the production of an annual outdoor, multi-disciplinary event in downtown Salt Lake City. We strive to maintain the highest artistic quality in our production and programming, represent excellence among a range of artistic mediums, and promote an appreciation for fine art while encouraging innovation in the field, and supporting non-traditional, contemporary works.
Time & Location
The annual Festival takes place the 4th weekend of June each summer and is held downtown in Salt Lake City at Library and Washington Squares. A full time staff of four and one part time person work year-round to produce the Festival. In addition, we engage seasonal coordinators to help plan and implement artistic programs each year. A technical staff, stage and production crews, along with more than 1,000 volunteers rounds out the personnel needed to produce the annual event.
The Utah Arts Festival is the largest outdoor multi-disciplinary arts event in Utah with attendance hovering over 80,000 each summer. Having garnered numerous awards internationally, nationally and locally, the event remains one of the premiere events that kicks off the summer in Utah each June.
Please explore our website to become a Utah Arts Festival participant--whether as a donor, sponsor, volunteer, artist, performer, or attendee.
Celebrating 61 years!
We’re celebrating our 61st year on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront!
The Boardwalk Art Show is produced by the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), a museum and arts organization that evolved from the art show itself. The show is nationally recognized from small beginnings in 1952 that to date attracts over 700 applications every year from artists around the country representing 13 fine art and contemporary craft mediums. More than 250 artists and 250,000 tourists and locals attend the show that spans nearly 15 blocks along the Atlantic Ocean at the Virginia Beach oceanfront from 19th Street to 33rd Street. This beautiful atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for public displays of art, fine food, live entertainment and a great vacation.
Building community takes art. Music. Food. Laughter. A willingness to work together. Most of all, it takes vision.
Since 1984, Hope House Foundation has been the vision behind the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival. Now, the free event is a community tradition proudly presented by Towne Bank, and drawing more than 50,000 visitors annually.
Twice a year, on the third full weekend in May and October, people flock to Stockley Gardens in Norfolk’s historic Ghent neighborhood to browse through jewelry, pottery, paintings, and other works of art by over 130 artists. The park is full of strollers, dogs and tantalizing smells. Music drifts from the stage. Friends stop to chat. Throughout the weekend, there is a feeling of hope.
The money raised during these events helps pay for housing, transportation, medical care, and more for people with developmental disabilities. But the events themselves benefit the entire community.
Each year, a nationally recognized artist or curator judges the artists, who compete for cash prizes. There is also an Emerging Artist Competition, also with cash prizes, for college and high school students, as well as recent graduates. Award winners are announced during the Artists’ Reception, which is held Saturday evening on the Main Stage.
We're proud to give the community one of the best outdoor arts festivals in the area. In fact, the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival has been voted one of the top two art festivals in eastern Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine readers four years in a row, so don't miss the upcoming Stockley Gardens Arts Festival. It's a good time, for a good cause.
