Scarf is 100% premium silk chiffon - printed using photographs of coralline algae, collected washed up on a beach in southern California.

Silk Chiffon is an elegant, sheer fabric with a soft, beautiful drape and crepe-like texture. Silk chiffon is considered a premium weave option because of its shimmer, smooth texture and strength. Lightweight, with a slight give, it will keep you comfortable in the summer as well as warm in the winter, holding warm air close to your skin.

two sizes:

• 14" X 72" - silk chiffon, very sheer - images prints through

• 36" X 36" - habotai silk - brighter print, image shows through to other side, but lighter

I create each pattern starting with small botanicals that are collected & pressed. Tiny compositions are photographed - the images digitally printed on 100% silk.  Digital printing is considered a more environmentally friendly method of printing - with no dye or fabric waste.
