translucent blue glass earrings, with fittonia leaf

78.00

*these shorties hang just at the ear & contain tiny fittonia leaves.

Fittonia albivenis is a species of flowering plant in the family Acanthaceae, native to the rainforests of Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and northern Brazil. It is notable for its dark green foliage with strongly contrasting white or red veins. It is commonly called nerve plant or mosaic plant.

Each piece is made using collected plant material. Plants are collected, pressed, dried; meticulously placed in glass & edged in a silver (pewter-finish) solder. Earwire is handmade in sterling silver.

*this pair is one-of-a-kind & ready to ship within 1-3 days of ordering. The earrings in the photograph are the ones you will receive.

The flowers are collected and pressed for several months (often years) before setting them in glass. To best care for them, store them out of sunlight - and keep them dry! Each piece contains a real plant or flower & is not waterproof ("not dishwasher safe or lifeguard approved").
